Day Six

Everyone’s pretty shattered after the long day and usual early start.

Sleep can be interesting, the car horns never stop, the dogs never stop barking and every night there is a random noise… last night it was women chanting at 0515!!!!

Our meal at the Martins’ house was outstanding with a fabulous spread of home cooked Indian food.

Today was a visit to the slum at Peeragari to officially inaugurate the Holywood funded health club centre. It is a fantastic facility and provides all sorts of services to the community.

We were given a guided tour of the slum, prayed in many houses, and heard testimonials from the students, parents and staff . Some of these were incredibly sad and it’s fair to say the day was emotional.

Evening time included a cycle rickshaw race to the local restaurant!!
