Friday 2nd July
‘In Church’ Services return on Sunday 5th July at 9.45am in the Parish Centre and 11.30am in the Parish Church. The text for Sunday’s sermon includes Jesus’ invitation- Come to me all who are weary…
As we respond to Jesus’ invitation and as we gather for the first time in over 100 days- please pray for all involved in making this happen. Thank you to the large team of volunteers serving at each service.
You will find a detailed letter here outlining the precautions we are taking as a parish and the steps you need to take if you hope to join us for services. Please watch this short video message featuring members of our staff team.
Our June Newsletter is available here. Please feel free to share the link with friends and family.
Following new guidelines from the Assembly the Select Vestry and Staff are now preparing the church building and parish centre to host gathered Sunday services once again. Please pray for all those who are making these practical arrangements taking into account regulations, restrictions and risk assessments. We will be inviting volunteer support to help with stewarding and cleaning of the building.
As you consider coming to services once again please ensure that you do not travel to Church if you have recently experienced any COVID19 symptoms- temperature, persistent cough or loss/change in your sense of taste and/or smell.
Services taking place in the Church and Parish Centre will then be streamed on the live page of this website.
From Sunday 5th July onwards St Philip and St James Church will open for private prayer on Wednesday afternoons only from 2.00pm-4.00pm. Stewards will continue to be on hand to guide visitors. Social distancing and hygiene protocols apply.
On Sunday, 28th June a morning service will be available from 11.00am. Please tune in here. This service celebrates our children’s and youth minstry- so expect some familiar young faces to appear- thank you to all of them.
The evening service on Sunday 28th June is A Service of Compline. It includes a sermon by Bishop David McClay addressing the parishes which make up our Area Deanery- Loughview Deanery. Again you can access it on the live page of this website.

The Parish Fellowship will resume with a series of bible readings in July.
Visit our facebook page for updates including material for children.
Some pastoral visits are now permitted where outdoor space allows. Please contact the parish office if you would like to speak with the clergy, youth or children’s staff team members.
Funerals: If you have been bereaved please contact the clergy as soon as possible.
The church building is not currently open to casual visitors or for private prayer. We hope that we will be able to resume our practice of leaving the church open most of the day as soon as possible.
Groceries and other essentials for Storehouse can be left in Sainsburys at Holywood Exchange. Occasional drop offs happen at the Parish Centre. Visit our facebook page for more details.
We are actively seeking a solution to distributing food to parishioners.
