“I’m new here!”

Welcome to our website, and to our church!

St. Philip and St. James is the Church of Ireland body in the Parish of Holywood. Or to put in another way, we’re a community of followers of Jesus, made up of a wide range of ages and backgrounds, based in Holywood, County Down. Our church building and Parish Centre are situated in our gardens at 71 Church Road so we’re easy to find.

We’d love you to join us at one of our Sunday services – one the main times we gather together. Whether you prefer a contemporary or a traditional style of music or service, whether you have a younger or older family or want to come on your own, you can expect a warm welcome, a time of prayer and singing to God as well as biblical preaching every Sunday.

If you’re discovering your faith, or wondering who Jesus is and how we can know God, why not talk to the staff team, or sign up for the next Alpha Course? We also have many resources on this site for you to grow in your faith. If you have any questions about anything on this site, you can e-mail us at info@holywoodparishchurch.co.uk, or ‘join the discussion’ on any page and we’ll get in contact.

Our Parish Centre’s Welcome Area is open daily from 10:00 – 12:00 a.m, if you’d like to call in for coffee and chat.

We encourage all our members to join a fellowship group – these meet regularly (e.g. fortnightly) in people’s home for food or tea, discussion about what we’re learning together on Sundays or what challenges we’re facing, and time to pray for each other, thank God for what he has done, and asking Him for help. It’s a great way of meeting new people, sharing life, and growing as a disciple.

We also have a host of other groups to join, throughout the week and the year, and there’s something for everyone.

Please do join with us as we celebrate and show was Jesus’ has done.
